We know you miss us! But don’t worry, 1/3 of the band is still up and rolling. Tony’s other project American Penetration is playing 2 shows in the upcoming weeks.

See you there for the beers and such……
Laid down some tracks for an acoustic album this weekend……booking for midsummer. http://bit.ly/9OFYdq
So, Beaver Dam and Oshkosh were very good to us. We had a great time, and I (chris) got to see a lot….a LOT of old friends. I was amazed at how many of you were there. It felt great and I thank you very much for that. Well, the next day it didn’t feel as good as that night, but……
The Blank is looking at doing something in Oshkosh again in the fall. We might see Beaver Dam again on July 31st at the Monument reunion. That’s a possibility. We absolutely have some out of town dates in the works.
In the meantime, we’ll be writing a new album and setting up future shows. We kept trying to both play shows and gig out but, it takes too long to develop songs that way. We’re lucky to have this opportunity to write more material and more than likely have a new album out in the fall. So, that means new stickers and new t-shirts, etc etc.
Okay, we’ve GOT to thank Big V’s for having us, it is one of our favorite places on the planet. Definitely want to thank everyone that stayed to watch us. And of course, the awesome bands that we got to play with. In The Morning, The Grande Machine and Say Like The French Say.
We really do love you longtime! The set was cut a little short. I apologize. Sorta. I mean, I had a hard enough time talking into the mic much less singing. A cold began to rear it’s ugly head Friday morning. Even though I tried to fight it off, it won in the end. Upon our return, I will have my revenge….aka do a real show for you. Oh well……it’s time to get over it and look forward to Beaver Dam and Oshvegas this weekend!
SO, it’s been a while since we’ve had an update here. I have been off doing family stuff and I simply over-secured our site and never had enough time to try and figure out how I did it.
ANYWAY:
We hope to see you at the quadruple birthday party for Filth, Juice, Wendizzle and Folkerts! We’ve got golden throat Dennis Asher from Casanatra starting the night out. The awesomeness of Second Class Citizen, us and closing out the rocktivities is Landspeeder. If you haven’t heard Landspeeder yet, you’re missing out. We’ll keep you updated this week!
OH, and I almost forgot to mention….I will be bringing booby cake. YUMMY booby cake.
Thanks to everyone that came out to Big V’s Friday. We had a great time. Unfortunately, David Slam’s surprise party was that night and we were not able to go to it. It really sucks when dates overlap. I mean I don’t have any plans for weeks and then WHAMMO!. Oh well.
As of right now, we plan to play our next show on February 20th at Club Underground. Other shows may pop up, but we’re not actively pursuing any. In other words, if you want us to play it’s not out of the question, but we won’t be looking for any.
During our off time, the goal is to focus our attention on writing. We will finish up several songs and write some new ones. The band has some equipment now so we can do the tracking for our next album right at our rehearsal studio. It will be nice to be able to track whenever we feel fit. After we finish all the tracking the plan is to take the recordings to Signaturetone Studios and drop it to 2″ tape for mixing.
We’ll keep you updated and all that jazz right here also. I don’t really check myspace.com very often, so I apologize if you’ve been awaiting our response. I just can’t stand all the filtering through to get to something worth-while. I mean, if you’re some company here to “help us take it to the next level” go somewhere else.
Thanks!
First, we wanted to thank all the people that came out Halloween Night. There’s always so many things going on that night and we’re very grateful that you came. We hope you had fun, because we sure did. I think I was ready to get to take a nap about 10pm…..ugh. I had a very busy day that had started at like 6:30am. A few tall boys of Old Style and some rum/coke helped that!
We also want to thank the bands. Funny, we didn’t hear either band before that night and both were a pleasant surprise. Jettison Never and Grant Brothers Moving Company are both top-notch. When you get a chance, google ‘em! They like to get googled…..like everyone does!
Our next show is at Big V’s November 20th with Rape Door, The Goodbars and Grey Matador. Mark yer calendars!
